About
MENTZ studio Architects were established in 2014 and is based in STELLENBOSCH. We are a design-focused practice with experience in master planning, commercial design, education, hospitality, multi residential housing and single residential dwellings.
We believe in architecture as a creative form with each project carefully developed in response to the physical and cultural characteristics of its setting and environment.
At MENTZ studio we aspire to a model of creativity that is open and collaborative, working with clients, consultants, and staff to foster an intelligent engagement with the circumstances of each site and brief and budget rather than the repetition of a signature style.
Committed to architectural excellence at all phases of the design and construction process, with carefully considered problem-solving from first sketches through to the approval, documentation, and construction phase of projects. Our skilled team makes use of the latest 3D software to effectively communicate our designs to our clients.
Through clear communication of our design objectives and considered analysis of local impacts we have a proven trac record of submitting plans and obtaining the necessary approval at the local building approval council and Heritage bodies.
The practice are registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP), the South African Institute of Architects (SAIA), and the Cape Institute of Architects (CIA). Services are underwritten by Professional Indemnity Insurers.
Our goal: To design buildings that will stand the test of time and bring endless joy to the end users.
We share our beautiful historic office 152 Dorp Street, with other architects, town planners and interior designers.
